About me

Ciao! My name is Matia, and welcome to meet you! My approach to bodywork is practical, individual and always based on the client's needs.

Every treatment begins with observing, listening and understanding what factors may be behind tension, discomfort or imbalance in the body. These may include physical activity, work postures, daily habits, stress, previous injuries or long-standing movement patterns.

I utilize a variety of methods in my work and tailor each treatment to the client's needs rather than following a single, pre-determined model. Whether the goal is recovery, pain management, improved mobility, or simply feeling better in your own body, I strive to provide treatment that is appropriate for the situation and the individual.

Over the years, I have become increasingly interested in the connection between the body, the nervous system and the effects of stress. This interest continues to guide both my practical work and my ongoing studies. My journey into bodywork began about ten years ago, when I studied massage and movement in various parts of Europe and South America. My background includes sports massage, deep tissue massage, classical Swedish massage, myofascial techniques, Reiki and various floor-based bodywork methods. Eventually, I completed my training in Finland and qualified as a trained masseuse. Before moving into bodywork, I worked as a graphic designer and later in various practical professions. These experiences taught me mindfulness, adaptability and the importance of meeting people, and gradually led me towards a more direct and meaningful way of working with people. Even before studying massage, I was interested in personal growth, breathing exercises and the connection between body and mind. Over the years, I have explored different approaches related to self-knowledge, psychosomatics, and how emotions, stress, and life experiences can affect our physical well-being. During one of my trips to South America, I met a teacher who led me deeper into the world of anatomy, movement, and body awareness. This experience sparked an even stronger interest in the subject and encouraged me to study it more thoroughly. My personal interest gradually developed into a profession. Today, I continue to study and deepen my understanding of the body and the factors that affect well-being, movement, and recovery. In addition to my studies related to bodywork, I am currently studying to become an Inner Child instructor and methods related to emotional integration. I am particularly interested in how emotional patterns, early experiences, and unconscious behaviors can affect our behavior and how we experience ourselves in our bodies. The more I study, the more I appreciate the complexity, adaptability and intelligence of the human body. As an Italian who has lived in Finland for many years, I also feel that these two cultures have influenced the way I work. Finland has taught me a lot about simplicity, presence and listening, while my Italian roots have preserved an appreciation for warmth, connection and closeness between people. In the middle of these two worlds, I have found my own way of meeting and working with people.
